In this commerical, a kid dressed up as Darth Vader is shown trying to "use the force" on everyday objects. The child attempts to "use the force" on an exercise machine, a dog, and even a sandwich. After many failed attempts, they almost give up. However, in one final attempt to "use the force," the child is finally successful.

I felt that the producer wanted the audience to feel sorry for the child, but in a way that the audience wanted the child to succeed in the end. I feel that the audience recieved a sense of childhood nostalgia from the commercial as they thought back to a time when they believed anything to be possible as a child's imagination allows them to believe. So as they saw themselves as the kid, they would react in such a way that wanted the kid to succeed. The audience could then associate this sense of belief with the car as the car makes it seem like anything is possible.
